Team GBR Send-off at Betfair

Yesterday, going to London Hammersmith with my team mate Adam, in between training sessions was the last thing I was expecting to do. We got there early not really knowing what to expect. Someone spotted us lurking around the reception and lead us into a room with food and drinks set out. After a day of travelling on the train and walking through London they we're both eagerly welcomed. After about 15 minutes, Steve Backley and John Dickenson walk in gradually followed by other athletes and people from Betfair and TASS and then the meeting and greeting began. After a few glasses of cranberry and orange juice, we filtered into another room, sporting our new flash polo tops to hear the well wishing, athlete interviews and thanks from Steve and John. When the talking had finished and food had been consumed, and good byes said, we both left having met some interesting people and to say that neither of us have actually been to a multi sport competition before, we learnt a lot about the set up of things and have a slighter better understanding of what to expect when we're over there.
