second game vs Morocco
By Andre Charles-Foster | 10 August 2007
our second game was against morocco yetserday, and it was, as the cliche goes, a game of two halves. the first half was dominated by morocco, in which they scored and had lots of shots from outside the box. but the second half was a different story. like the first game, after a few words of advice from the gaffer and some refreshing substitutions, the team found it's rythem. the first goal was scored by yan (again, i think he wants to get the golden boot), the second was from kieran hall after a fantastic flowing move that wouldnt have looked out of place at old trafford, the third was a towering header from daniel bulley (whose new nickname now should be ole gunner bulley) and the forth was scored by martin vickerton (who was another player to impress after coming off the bench). after the game a member of the football technical commitee commented that it was one of the best performances (second half) from a GB football team at the games. also word from the camp is that thailand want us to top the group so we dont have to play them.
all in all a great second half performance but as we progress we need to start the first half the way we are playing the second, if we dont them wer could get punished as the opposition become tougher.
the next game is against kazahkstan (sorry if it spelt wrong), in which a victory will see us top the group.
until next time
